Finance Bank’s Plea Against Simaata Taken To Supreme Court

Finance Bank Zambia is among the top growing and most reputed banks across Zambia. The bank was started by Dr. Rajan Mahtani, a respected businessman in Zambia. Dr. Mahtani has been living in Zambia for many decades. His dedicated towards the nation can be seen in form of many companies that he has launched over the years. His companies such as Portland Cement Zambia have provided employment opportunities for many communities. It is not surprising that the conspirators of the nation have targeted Dr. Rajan Mahtani for his businesses. These conspirators have only profit motives and have been trying to disrepute his image through false stories and negative campaigns.

At the same time, it has been seen that Dr. Mahtani has hardly ever responded to these campaigns. He is a firm believer of hard work and truth and therefore, never bothers replying to these conspirator campaigns. However, the issue went out of hand when Simaata, one of Finance Bank’s ex-employees, started spreading false rumors regarding the bank as well as Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Simaata had earlier signed a confidentiality agreement with Finance Bank for a good sum. While he happily took the amount and signed the deal, he did not keep his end of the bargain. It was found that at several occasions, Simaata broke the terms of the contract. First, he was found to give wrongful and negative testimonials about the bank as courts, and at numerous occasions. Second, he was also found to have leaked confidential statements to local newspaper. All these activities created a negative word-of-mouth for the bank and its reputation was severely damaged. As a result, Finance Bank was forced to sue Simaata and the matter was placed at the Supreme Court Zambia, the highest court of nation, so that true justice can be given.

The verdict of the Supreme Court was in Finance Bank’s favor. Simaata was proved guilty and was also asked to submit fine for the wrongdoings.
