Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is a known individual across Zambia. He has an established business in this country as well as has successful businesses across developed nations like the United Kingdom. He is also among few businessmen in Zambia to successfully bring foreign investments in the country. His operations are always oriented towards the welfare and growth of common people and the economy of Zambia. However, these activities have made him a target in the eyes of people who just think of their personal gains over others. As a result, we have seen numerous conspirators and their campaigns, fake news stories and negative articles on Dr. Mahtani over the past few years.

However, the latest event involving Simaata Simaata took ugly turns and even a calm individual like Dr. Mahtani had to raise his voice. Simaata is an ex-employee of Finance Bank. He was ousted from the bank for involving in unethical practices. He then signed an agreement with Finance Bank for was also paid a good sum for it. While he happily took the sum for signing the agreement, he did not honor his promise and went ahead to break them at numerous occasions. He first gave wrongful testimonials against the Bank & Dr. Mahtani at various occasions to various courts. He also released sensitive documents to a local newspaper. All these activities resulted in negative image for the bank and loss of reputation as well as business potential.

To stop these activities from Simaata to cause further damage, Finance Bank registered a case against him at the Supreme Court. After much argument and evidentiary support, the judges announced the results in Finance Bank’s favor and Simaata was charged guilty of the charges. He was also charged with fine for the damages done to the bank. It is a great win for Finance Bank and Dr. Mahtani over its conspirators and also a good lesson for all those people who wish to defame good people for their personal gains.
