Simaata Simaata is one of the most controversial figures across Zambia. He is known to be extreme notorious as well as overzealous. He used to work for Finance Bank Zambia and was asked to leave the bank for his unethical practices. Furthermore, he has always been an open critic of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Therefore, it was not a surprise when Simaata broke the terms of a contract that he signed with Finance Bank.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani and Finance Bank Zambia recently filed a case against Simaata at the Supreme Court of Zambia. The case was filed because Simaata violated the terms of a contract signed between him and Finance Bank. The agreement was signed by Simaata willfully for which he also received a good sum. However, he broke the contract at several occasions. Firstly, he testified at many courts and at various occasions against Dr. Mahtani & Finance Bank. Secondly, he released portions of statements that were clearly mentioned confidential as per the agreement. These statements were shared with the local newspaper. All these activities lead to loss of reputation for the Bank as well as future business potential. As a result, when the case was taken to the Supreme Court, the judges shared the same concern.

As per the verdict of the Supreme Court that was given on 2nd June 2017, Simaata was found guilty of the charged. He will be paying a fine for his activities. Apart from that, the government will also be monitoring him so that he does not involve in similar activities in future. In case he is found to engage in similar activities, the punishment and fine will be more severe this time. The agreement is still intact as of now. All those conspirators of Dr. Rajan Mahtani & Finance Bank who used to think that they were invincible and cannot be harmed, they need to review themselves now as Dr. Mahtani is not going to stay silent for their acts now.
