While the roundtable conference usually takes place in New York, this year’s event was held virtually to comply with the Covid-19 restrictions. Members participated from their respective locations and the members included international business communities, spiritual leaders, opinion leaders, political leaders, religious leaders, policymakers, international investors as well as media partners. The awards recognize and celebrate leading lights in the field of philanthropy and empowerment. The awards go to those visionaries with significant long-term investment and vision towards philanthropy to achieve long-term empowerment of the African nation. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was recognized by Forbes for his significant contributions towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia. He was awarded the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award in 2021. This award was a recognition for Dr. Mahtani’s significant business, economic as well as philanthropic contributions over the years. Dr. Mahtani accepted the award in a humble manner.
