Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani has been operating business across Zambia for many decades. He is respected among his peers and industries. He has built his empire which has helped in developing economy and improving the financial strata of the society. On the other hand, there are few outsiders who have come to Zambia only to deprive it of its resources for their personal gains. These outsiders, along with some local traitors have always conspired against those who look out for the common people of Zambia. Dr. Mahtani as well as associations related to him has always been on the sharp end of the stick. These conspirators have used all sorts of unlawful methods to ruin him reputation and defame him.

However, tables turned recently when after a long battle Dr. Rajan Mahtani won his case against Simaata. FBZ had earlier sued Simaata of breaching an agreement when the latter had signed with FBZ. As per the Zambia Supreme Court, Highest Court of Zambia, it was found that Simaata did so intentionally, with the objective of creating negative public image of FBZ. It is known to everyone that Simaata is an ex-employee of Finance Bank and was disbarred from the bank due to unethical practices. In spite of understanding clearly that his actions might result in significant reputational and financial loss for FBZ; he went ahead & testified against Dr. Mahtani & FBZ. Simaata was also found guilty of releasing sensitive documents and statement to newspaper without the consent of FBZ. All these have accounted to the judgment of Supreme Court. Simaata will be paying a penalty for his actions and his activities will be under watch by the government.

While Finance Bank & Dr. Mahtani has won this case, we are not sure that this has influenced his conspirators much. We can just hope that the conspirators would think twice before spreading negative rumours and defamatory news campaigns against Dr. Mahtani in future.
