Portland Cement Zambia, a factory that had seen better days is now at the mercy of a group of people who have never helped anybody without considering their personal profit. The current story shows how a group of dishonest people from Zambia and Italy have destroyed the lives of thousands of people and hundreds of families. This is the story of Portland Cement Zambia and the misery that hides within the walls!

On April 7, 2015 nobody had thought that the fate of a flourishing factory would change forever with the arrival of the Ventriglia family from the scene. The morning was packed with some Mafia actions where the conspirators took over the factory by force and then decided to take the management in their own hands. Ins pite of requests, the decision of the ITL group remained unchanged. This is where one expected the Government to intervene and make things right in the factory. But, nothing happened and things started to get ugly. The factory cashbox started to deplete to a shocking speed. All money going to foreign bank accounts. On the other hand, workers of the factory kept being terminated. Upon enquiring into the matter, it was informed that the factory didn’t had enough work and hence, extra workers were being removed. Then came a phase where all the factory assets such as trucks and premise were given to third companies and hence, making it impossible for the factory recover from the damage.

Pedro, a former worker of Portland Cement Zambia comments, “Life has become a misery for us. Earlier I used to draw a salary that was sufficient for my family to feed. I also managed to save a few. But the present condition reflects my misery as I have been thrown out and was the only earning member in the family.”
