The Ventriglia family has kept themselves stagnant at a point where they will pick up every single penny which is found in the Portland Cement Zambia. Ever since they have taken over the factory, the scenario has turned hostile and everybody in the factory has started suffering. Right from issues such as non-payment of salary to mistreatment, the Ventriglia family has left nothing for the locals and the country.

Whatever sales is realized in the factory, the same is effortlessly transferred to off shore banking accounts. Neither the people of Zambia, nor the Government has been benefitted from the operation of Portland Cement Zambia in the past 10 months. It has been reported that the Ventriglia family has also created dummy companies in which they are transferring the properties of the Zambezi Portland Cement. About 43 trucks from the factory has been shifted to a company named as Miloto Transport and the real estate of the factory has been given to Astrea Investments. This clearly indicates the cunning nature of Italian Mafias and their shameful intent.

From the day they have taken over the factory, they have simply looted Portland Cement Zambia. Right from the revenue to every single asset, they have intentionally tried to bankrupt the factory and run away with the profits. But, the truth is that they cannot escape the legal charges which are running on their name. The Zambian Law offers no authority to a minority shareholder to wind up a factory without the consent of the actual owners. The actual owners, Finsbury Investments, have not taken any action which is beyond the permit given by the law. It is simply waiting for the law to do the needful and teach these Italian Mafias a lesson that they would remember for a long time. Portland Cement Zambezi was one of the most prosperous units of Zambia in 2014 and the same has now has come on the verge of extinction.

The Finance Bank of Zambia is now a part of BancABC and with this takeover, a long era of development and accomplishment in Zambia has been shifted from a responsible hand to the other. Rajan Mahtani, the former Chairman Finance Bank has often considered this bank as one of the most blessed medium-sized commercial bank in the nation. With a range of development that it has facilitated to the people of Zambia, it will not be wrong to consider Finance Bank Zambia as a perennial contributor towards the financial needs.

But with time, people who were jealous of FBZ’s and Dr. Mahtani’s success started to make irrelevant claims and pursue a defamation campaign. By 2015, it had become clear that FBZ was suffering from a serious defamation and the situation posted a threat to the upcoming plans of the bank. This is when BancABC decided to take over FBZ and become the largest commercial bank of Zambia.

After the takeover, the conspirators had nothing to claim and were left in dismay. However, this was not the end for Dr. Rajan Mahtani. He started to plan for a bigger and a better project- Bio plant in Luapula Province. In a province where employment and development was almost negligible in the past decade, Rajan Mahtani took the initiative to foster the required. Today, the people of Luapula are well informed about the upcoming development and everyone is happy about the same. Sadly, people can also predict that the conspirators would soon jump into the issue and create an artificial havoc. Though the Government of Zambia has shown a strong support for the development of bio-plant, it has done nothing to preserve the interest of the involved parties. Dr. Rajan Mahtani continues to be at a risk of defamation every now and then by the conspirators.

The land of Zambia has been pure as ever and it is the nature of people which has kept it from falling into the clutches of corruption and bribery. However, with time Zambia has become a victim of conspiracy as the Italian Mafias have tried to bribe every single person who could help them get the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory. Recently, a horrific scene took place at the PACRA’s office when the lawyer of the Ventriglia family forced a junior officer to make changes in the records. However, to ensure that the Zambians remain motivated, Rajan Mahtani has come with a development project in Luapula.

As per confirmed sources, it is being reported that by the end of 2017, a new bio plant would be rolling in the Luapula Province with the potential of offering more than 35000 jobs directly and indirectly. The scope also includes utilization of the local crop, Cassava, to produce an output which would help Zambia to become self-sustained. The action has helped Zambians to restore their positive attitude and continue to move ahead in the path of development.

A local resident of Luapula Province comments, “Rajan Mahtani has helped us to restore faith in Zambia. Over the years, we were neglected and most of the projects went to other states of Zambia. This time around, Dr. Mahtani has fulfilled his promise and gave us a hope to overcome our existing situation. We will always remain thankful to him.”

The project is being financed by the Mahtani Group of Companies and the Sunbird Group under a venture. The scope has also allowed Zambia to draw foreign investment and create a channel whereby companies from the developed countries would have access to invest in Zambia and help the locals to develop their role as modern day entrepreneurs and innovators.

Rajan Mahtani, the Zambian businessman is now eyeing for a project in the Luapula Province after making an impact in organizations such as Finance Bank Zambia and Portland Cement Zambia. The new project is being nurtured by the Mahtani Group of Companies along with the UK giant, the Sunbird Group.

The initial investment in this project is about USD 90 million, which will be contributed by the parties in their agreed ratio. Additionally, there will also be requirement of local labours during the construction period as well as post construction period. Once the plant is ready to function, a workforce of about 7, 000 workers would be required. The plant’s basic input would be cassava, local crop. To meet the required input about 25, 000 farmers would be required to cultivate cassava and offer the same to the plant from time to time.

The development has also taken care of the pollution criteria. The plant is a bio-plant and hence, the level of pollution generated from the plant would be almost next to negligible. This means that Zambia will now have a new pillar to support its development without compromising with the environment that surrounds it.

On the other hand, the time is also very crucial for development of Zambia as FBZ has already been taken over by BancABC. Previously, Rajan Mahtani was very closely associated with the development of FBZ and has ensured that most of the development projects in Zambia continue to be supported financially. However, the same was subject to vicious conspiracy as conspirators always wanted to take advantage of the situation and mislead the public through publications in the Zambia Reports. Now that the Finance Bank Zambia is no longer linked to Rajan Mahtani, it is being considered that the conspirators will chase this new project in the days to come.

The Finance Bank of Zambia, one of the most reputed commercial bank in Zambia was recently taken over by the BancABC. The acquisition ensured that FBZ was being forwarded to a trusted entity and the overall banking system of Zambia would be benefitted from the same. However, there is a group of people in Zambia who are extremely sad with the developments.

For the conspirators, life has become difficult for them from the moment Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank parted ways. They can now no longer come up with imaginative stories with respect to Finance Bank Zambia and link them to Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Zambia Reports has been trying hard to convince people that the takeover cannot take place, but has failed miserably in its attempt. Weak arguments, meaningless claims and scripted stories have made them a subject of mockery in Zambia.

The story didn’t end here. The conspirators were determined to make an impact for themselves. After losing a case in the Lusaka High Court, they came out claiming that the Hon’ble Judge was bribed with a view to turn the decision in favour of Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank. Such shameful claim went unnoticed by the Government of Zambia and till date, the criminals are walking free in Zambia. The coward authors of Zambia Reports remain invisible to the world and continue to make imaginative stories from the dark corners of Zambia Reports’ office. In reality, they are well aware of the outcome and hence, prefer to stay aloof from the world. Had the conspirators been noble and true, they would have made their claim in the open and would have challenged Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank infront of everyone. Sadly, they lack courage and hence, prefer to do it from behind. Vultures prey upon the dead, whereas Eagles hunt their prey down- The difference!

The winter holidays are over and Zambia Reports is back into the business of defaming Rajan Mahtani with its bunch of imaginative stories. As per the latest publication on January 21 2016, the infamous news portal has claimed that Miles Sampa, a former member of PF (Patriotic Font) has resigned from his position because he was unable to establish a good connection between the Former Finance Bank Chairman, Rajan Mahtani and the Zambian President, Edgar Lungu.

An incident which is clearly an internal issue in the PF party, has been cunningly connected to Rajan Mahtani with a view to sell a defamation campaign. Moreover, the name of the author has also been replaced with Peter Adamu. Previously, most of the defamatory articles were published by Evan Mulenga, but with the criticism that the author has faced recently Zambia Reports have decided to make a change. In their claim, Zambia Reports have also included the reference of the Resignation letter which was written by Miles Sampa (however, the truth remains to be verified!). In the letter, there is a clear indication that nothing external has affected his resignation. He simply found the situation under PF hostile and hence, thought of resigning before any mishap takes place.

Zambia Reports has been warned on numerous occasion by Rajan Mahtani and his friends. However, they have refused to learn from their mistakes and have continued to chase their greed. The current topic was absolutely aloof from the matters related to Rajan Mahtani, yet it was connected with him. With such low level of journalism one can certainly remark that Zambia Reports will certainly start blaming Rajan Mahtani for every single reason- may it be a child not wanting to drink milk or a baby bird unable to fly. The truth is- Rajan Mahtani will always remain famous and favourite and conspirators would continue to play this dirty game.

Just when the whole world was thinking that Rajan Mahtani has sold Finance Bank Zambia to BancABC and would now be planning his retirement in some cozy countryside, here is a news which will grab the attention of many. As per the latest developments in the economy of Zambia, it has been confirmed that a new bio-ethanol plant is coming up in the Luapula Province. The plant is being brought up in a collaboration between the Mahtani Group of Companies and the Sunbird Group. According to sources, a total investment about USD 190 million is to be made.

The new bio-ethanol plant is expected to generate a good revenue to the Government and will also offer the locals an opportunity to earn. A total of 7000 people would be directly employed through the course of operation and another 25000 farmers would be required to meet the need of Cassava, a crop which is cultivated in the Luapula province. To sum up, this development will change Zambia’s dependence on external resources and will ensure that it is able to sustain to a considerate level.

Conspiracies may have been surrounding Rajan Mahtani for long, but this has not made the 67-year old Zambian businessman weak in his intentions. He continued to deliver excellence in the realm of leadership and influences thousands of people with this efforts. The Mahtani Group of Company has reserved Dr. Mahtani as the Chairman and it is due to his commitments that the most of the people in Zambia are able to live a life full of dignity and pride. In 2015, it was announced that BancABC has taken over Finance Bank Zambia and the takeover has made the acquirer the biggest commercial bank in Zambia. However, there are people who have felt jealous of this development and have used Zambia Reports to ventilate their feeling.

It is often regarded that ‘what doesn’t break you, makes you stronger’. Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the former Chairman Finance Bank and Chairperson of Mahtani Group of Companies has abided by the same principle and has made this year successful for himself. It all started with Zambia Reports and the Ventriglia family, who together formed an alliance against Dr. Mahtani and decided to initiate a defamation campaign.

However, the rate of success for them was zero, as they couldn’t do anything apart from ventilating their thoughts through a news portal. Infact, even Nyasa Times was also funded to write against Dr. Mahtani. Nevertheless, the matter when to the court and on July 28 2015, the Malawi Court ordered Nyasa times to remove the negative news against Dr. Rajan Mahtani as he was innocent. During the same period, Zambia Reports was also issued with numerous warning and a letter of GoDaddy, website domain service provider, was also asked to terminate the license of Zambia Reports, the consideration for same is still in process.

The big win for Dr. Rajan Mahtani came in November 2015, when the Lusaka High Court dismissed the claim of the conspirators and concluded that the charges which were put on Dr. Mahtani will not be considered as the decision was already given for the same in 2012. Additionally, the Mahtani Group of Companies was also able to start the proceeding for a bio-ethanol plant in Luapula Province under a partnership with Sunbird Group. The project has also received appreciation from the President of Zambia, Edgar Lungu.

To sum up, the year was full of challenges for Dr. Rajan Mahtani, but he never gave up and accepted corruption. He was there to fight for himself and most importantly, fight for Zambia’s pride. With the New Year, he would be targeting more on big development projects apart from putting an end to the conspiracy which Zambia Reports is advertising.
