Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessperson and philanthropist from Zambia, was recently conferred with one of the top philanthropy awards in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is known for his significant philanthropic and charitable contributions across Zambia for several decades. As such, he was recognised at an international level. This recognition came from Forbes, which is one of the top business magazines across the globe. Forbes had recently organized the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony during the FIN ‘Philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference.’ The FIN roundtable conference is among the most anticipated and sought-after business events in Africa. Normally, the FIN event takes place in New York. However, this year’s FIN event was held online as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and members participated from their respective locations. Also, the event was broadcasted across the globe via YouTube medium. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was also invited in this event as an honorary speaker and spoke about the significance of leadership in healthcare, which has been all the more realised during this time of the pandemic. Apart from Dr. Rajan Mahtani, several other members participated in the FIN event. These include international business committee members, political leaders, opinion leaders, religious leaders, entrepreneurs, businesspeople, international investors as well as media partners. It was a successful event that not only saw an authentic and meaningful roundtable conference but also a platform for collecting funds, capital, and investment for the ongoing and upcoming small & medium enterprise projects across Africa.
