After many years of selfless dedication and passionate services towards the Zambian people, Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s philanthropic, charitable and business contributions were finally recognized. It was during the FIN (Foreign Investment Network) philanthropic and leadership roundtable conference. The event saw participation from businesses, industrialists and visionaries. It was an online event wherein members participated from their respective locations. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was invited in this event as an honorary speaker and participated from Zambia. Despite being an online event, the forum saw participation from members of international business communities, entrepreneurs, spiritual leaders, political leaders, opinion leaders, international investors, businesses and media partners among others. The roundtable conference majorly focused on the topic of philanthropy and leadership to achieve long-term empowerment of the African nation. Another reason for the extreme popularity and anticipation of the FIN leadership and philanthropy award was the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards ceremony. The award ceremony by Forbes was a part of the philanthropic roundtable conference and increased its value many folds. The ‘Best of Africa’ awards is a highly anticipated and among the most regarded philanthropic awards in Africa. The award recognizes and celebrates visionaries and entrepreneurs with significant investment and long-term vision towards philanthropy and empowerment of the African nation. The award recognized several visionaries and entrepreneurs, and Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was one of them. In fact, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was the only businessman from entire Zambia who was conferred with one of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards apart from being invited in the FIN event as an honorary speaker. Forbes recognized the numerous philanthropic and charitable contributions from Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani and awarded him with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. A major reason behind this award was Dr. Mahtani’s contributions towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia.
