Dr. Mahtani Award With Forbes Philanthropy Award

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessperson and philanthropist from Zambia, was recently conferred with one of the top philanthropy and leadership awards in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani received the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. This award was presented to him during the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ annual awards. The award ceremony, on the other hand, was part of the Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was also invited in this conference as an honorary speaker and highlighted the significance of healthcare and political leadership in the sector for its empowerment and long-term growth. Forbes recognised Dr. Mahtani for the ‘Best of Africa’ award for redefining the banking sector of Zambia.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a proud Zambian citizen and considers this as his native country. In his acceptance speech for the award, Dr. Mahtani said that he is deeply humbled to achieve this award as he has gone through significant trails & tribunals in his business and personal life. Dr. Mahtani thanked Almighty God for providing him with the strength and perseverance to come ahead to these challenges. Dr. Mahtani also thanked his teams for their significant support and carrying out major responsibilities for ensuring continued business success and growth.

Forbes conducts a ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony to recognize the leading lights in the field of business and philanthropy. The awards are presented after significant consideration and background research on the participants. Both FIN (Foreign Investment Limited) and Forbes conduct verification processes and background checks against the respective participants. After this, interviews and discussions take place to understand the perception and views of the awardees regarding philanthropy to achieve long-term empowerment across the African nation. Apart from Dr. Rajan Mahtani, several other business personalities receive awards during the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony. Some of these eminent members were Paul Adefarasin, Nana, Kwame Bediako, Leonark Nnamdi Stanley Ekeh, Ken Sharpe, Wendy Ackerman, Sam Matekane and Claver Gatete, among others.
