Dr. Rajan Mahtani To Appeal To Higher Court Of Zambia After Judgment By Lusaka HC

Dr. Rajan Mahtani is among the most ethical, transparent and honest businessman in the Zambian nation. Yet, he continues to battle because of a bunch of conspirators and unethical businessmen and politicians who are always looking for personal profits at the expense of the common citizens of Zambia. Over the course of his successful business career, Dr. Mahtani built several successful businesses such as Mahtani Group of Companies, Finance Bank Zambia and Finsbury Investments.

Zambezi Portland Cement

Before this illegal takeover, the Portland Cement factory was among the largest manufacturers of cement in Zambia. The factory quickly became popular for its high-quality cement and affordable prices. It was also one of the major employers in that province and with it’s higher than industry-average wages and salaries, the factory attracted employees from far-off places. However, all these things changed when the factory was illegally taken over. Since then, the factory has been left unattended without any proper management to look after. Majority of the workers and employees have left the factory due to non-payment of wages. Those who are still working are continuously complaining of working without wages or salary but no one is hearing their please. The factory is in bad condition as the factory assets and corroding and factory equipment are in shabby and degrading conditions. The factory cash box is completely empty and it seems that the individuals who took the factory illegally have no intention of maintaining the factory. Experts have also suggested that if the factory is not revived now, it might be difficult to revive it later.

Dr Rajan Mahtani

The final judgment from Lusaka High Court was extremely disappointing as it was against Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s claims, despite the several evidences and testimonials. As such, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has now approached the ‘Higher Court of Appeal’ where he is expecting response from the decision makers.
